Fosapitant dimethylglucamine (CAS 265121-04-8) is a precursor of the oral preparation of aprepitant, which is rapidly converted into aprepitant in the body after injection.Fosapitam dimethylglucamine and aprepitam are selective high-affinity receptor blockers called human substance P/neurokinin 1(NK-1), which act mainly through novel mechanisms of blocking brain nausea and vomiting signals.Arepitane has very weak or no affinity for 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT3), dopamine and glucocorticoid receptors, and is used for the treatment of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting and postoperative nausea and vomiting.
Function
Clinical use for the prevention and treatment of acute or delayed nausea and vomiting caused by the initial and repeated administration of moderate and high emetogenic chemotherapy (including high dose of cisplatin).
